could one of the sensors be reading wrong or maybe an issue with the BCM. just a couple thoughts if there is no obstruction in the system. are you tuned? maybe killing the AFM might help.

How would the BCM or AFM be causing the OP's symptoms?

No tune complete stock car other than this exhaust add on. I had the car at dealership all sensors or whatever else they checked all came back good to go. Legato finally contacted me asking me to send pictures of the install so I'm awaiting a answer back from them on if I got correct mufflers and if it's defective a switch out I'm hoping.

from owning a L99 I can attest that the switching from 4 to 8 can lead to a herky jerky performance and wanted to make sure that isn't what is going on here. have seen BCM do some crazy stuff, had engine block freeze once in a Cavalier, BCM was faulty. it regulates a lot of stuff. I'm no engineer just throwing thoughts out there. interesting to see what OP finds out

Ok sorry for the delay.. Unfortunately the car is no better nor is the customer service with Legato. I have had 2 emails from them since this issue started over a month or so now after maybe 10 to them. At the end of day regardless of the exhaust being good or bad I would suggest no one buy from them due to the customer service because if you have any type of issue there not gonna back there product or offer any type solution. I'm gonna shop for new axle back can I get any suggestions what to look at that doesn't have major drone?

Unfortunately you should have read my thread I created months ago about Legato being a TERRIBLE company and to NEVER buy from them. Their 100% money back is BULLSHIT.... Their product, while it sounds good, is sub-par China made CRAP.

I am dumping my Legato and going with a muffler delete...

As for drone, I think for us that only upgrade their mufflers will not have drone... I think most of that is caused by upgrading other components up the exhaust chain.

joe...

The question still hasn't been answered.

Have you removed the exhaust to see if it changes?
