What else will have to be bought besides exhaust and possibly gauge cluster?

Good deal? Hard to swap?
exhaust will be needed, new motor mounts. the stock k-member will work, if you've got the money, id swap out for a tubular k-member to save weight, hassle, and room. the gauge cluster will probably need to be swapped as yours prolly only goes to 115 or 120. also if you dont already have it, you need the wiring harness.

this site: http://www.michiganspeed.com/enginepull/index.html
has a step by step how-to of how to remove the motor from the 4th gen f-bod. yes you can pull it out the top, but trust me, it is so much easier to lift the car off/lower the motor down (thats how it was put together to begin with). also, since you would need to swap out your shocks to the stronger v-8 shocks, now would be the time, cus its all free from the body of the car. installing the exhaust (long tubes if it were my choice), is a piece of cake with the motor out of the car (obviously)

Are there any complications with a drop-in like this relating to suspension and whatnot? I know for instance a Z28 isn't just a Camaro with a V8 instead of a V6. Besides cosmetics (spoiler, hood), what would it take to turn one into the other?
there are complications with a "drop-in", thats why you do a "lift-off".

suspension is different, cosmetics are the same. spoiler and hood are all the same on these cars, the SS's came out with a different spoiler and hood however.

the overall differences are:
motor
wiring harness
transmission
suspension
gauge cluster
brakes
motor mounts

there are prolly a few other things here and there but those are the major things. also, you CAN swap the motor/trans and harness and whatnot over, and not do the suspension or brakes, buuuuuuuuuut i highly advise against it.
