I could never understand why people only feed their dog's one time a day. My understanding is an active dog should eat 3 time's a day and should eat until full each time. And if anyone has a good awnser I'm all ear's, just dont give me that crap about how they eat in the wild, your dog's are far from it and so is the food you feed them. |

Yea I've always heard twice a day for non-active dogs and 3 times a day for active dogs. Never feed them until they are full. Once they start this, they will gorge themselves and eat even after they are full so you will put more down which is bad for the dog.

I should have clarified. Once you know what they eat, they IMO should be given the same amount each feeding. Not just dump alot in there and let them go to town.

See I don't understand that, my dog always has a full bowl of food and both past n present never over ate, if anything Id get worried as it stayed full to long sometimes but I knew she is just holding out for something good, will fall back on the dog food when no pizza falls on the floor that night.

Wohhhhh it got quiet in here. Sorry but I always felt bad for dogs that got feed once or twice a day and when they finally got food they ate like they may never eat again. I don’t let me dog eating that way, she knows she has food and doesn’t have to woof down her food in 30sec. She knows its always there and eats as such. Often just a small mouth full here and there. Not a 30sec race to finish the bowl then sniffing and looking around for more like a starving man.

Soap is not too bad once you get past the first gagging cycle.
Poop takes a little longer though. |

My 2 yr old Labs will eat soap any chance they get but it never seems to bother them. The female will eat her brothers poop before it hits the ground but he has out grown this disgusting habit.
