I never let my car get much below 1/4 tank. Heat is what kills your fuel pump. Running low of fuel, even though it sits in a sump, still aerates the fuel a bit. I prefer not to test fate. I've run out of gas more than enough times in my younger days that i dare not try testing my luck with the accuracy of the fuel gauge. Be damned if i walk to a gas station. Nope not me, you guys can go right ahead lol

I never have a problem with mine. But then I don't care what the price of gas is when mine reads 1/2 tank I pull in and fill it up. And do this with all my 4 vehicles.
