This is how I envision my Camaro. The closer to this, the better. That's my story and I'm sticking to it.

I can't wait for the release, so the "True Story" behind the development of this car can be told.
I want the complete delineation (sp?) of all the concept variants that were produced. In other words, if the first concept was repainted a different color to go to another show two months after being "carved," I want to know. In a similar vein, how many (total) vehicles were produced BEFORE the IVERS, and what were their histories? (construction, colors, features, etc). AND - I want a comprehensive set of interviews from the drivetrain, design, and interior teams at GM that detail all the trials and tribulations that will (and have) led to what will be the final product we all will see soon. Not to mention, it would be nice if there were a special "bonus feature" that made mention of the effect that all of us enthusiasts had on the final product, were it actual, usable feedback -- or more subtle things like the fact that the dev team enjoyed our humorous posts along the way (meaning, the whole "Shunt" experience on this forum, for example). Considering the length of time it will take to get this thing to the showroom after the concept was first unveiled, this documentary of the Camaro (And Zeta!!!!) development should last at least two hours. I'd buy it!!! You?

Sorry to those who wanted to see the 4th gen next to it - I would have gotten pictures if I could but I am Enochlophobic (fear of crowds) :( so I had to get outta there since everyone was around the cars.
Hopefully someone else who went to Carlisle on this message board did get some pictures for everyone, but I was in, snapped pictures, and got out. Though it may not be the "real" bumblebee, it was still a very good looking car sitting there and I can't wait to order mine! I am just hoping for the classic blue with white stripes |

I was also at Carlisle last Saturday. A GREAT time, especially seeing Scott.
Scott and John (Fitzpatrick) also had a Q&A regarding the Camaro. AS for the GM Performance 4th Gen., here is a pic. I dug up from a past Carlisle show.

The 4th gen has a 427 all aluminum C5-R
As for the concept camaro question from what I know there was 2 silver push cars, one being the original clay car that the first ever 5th gen pictures were taken of. GM concepts 1 Silver functional [Chicago auto show 06] 1 Orange convertable functional [Chicago auto show 07] 1 Red push [West coast 06-07] 1 Silver push [out of U.S. 06-07] painted to Yellow w/black stripes (bumblee bee) [Chicago auto show 08] Saleen conversions 2 Yellow w/black stripe bumblebees |
