I bought the one for on-road use. They did not do anything to the car except install the exhaust. The price of the exhaust included installation.

Yes, I have the correct one. The one for use with the ground effects kit doesn't include the exhaust tips.

I guess. And if Al Gore wouldn't have been born we wouldn't be here on the interwebz either.

I have the v-6 version of the GMPP exhaust. The dealer installed them and I asked that tips stick out as far as possible. Not much play for that because of the hangers but more play inward if the existing pipe is cut a little short.

No problems here.

Good thing it's just the diffuser and not the paint. Looks like the exhaust is sitting in a little to much

looks like a installation issue to me. Mine stick out a little also and no issues at all.

well yeah plastic will melt when a hot metal tip sits against it. looks like your tips were too far back. and probably not centered with the hole.

You actually might be onto something...it wasn't the incorrect installation that caused the melting, it was global warming! That totally sucks.

Wow, that is one hot exhaust. definitely way off center and too high. look at the difference between your exhaust outlet on the drivers side and the pics from my post with new Magnaflow (close up pictures toward end of post)
