Welcome to the ZL1 vert family! CRT color doesn't get any better, I love it!! Make sure to get XPel installed on all the danger areas to prevent those nasty rock chips. If you have any questions on any mods or anything else shoot me a PM. Your lucky you get to enjoy your car with all that beautiful weather down there. Take care and enjoy every minute while driving the car!

Thanks everyone for positive comments! I'll have to admit that this wasn't my best performance in inspecting a car before purchase. Fortunately the things I've found so far are GOOD things! Today I was looking over the engine and such with my dad when I remembered I hadn't really looked at the exhaust manifolds and how they were coupled to the Borla exhaust. Well... it doesn't have manifolds. It has Kooks long tubes. It just keeps getting better... and worse! I'm glad I keep finding the little surprises but I'm a bit ashamed that I didn't see them in the first place, I guess I was too enamored with the car to stay focused on the details.

Since you have a good start aka headers cai and exhaust, I would check and see if it has a tune and tuner, or tuned back to stock, with no tuner included.

Call Ted Jannetty and get a tuner and canned tuned for that thing and wake it up a bit.

Being new to this kind of horse power in a daily driver I kind of thought it was already awake!

Does the car have High-flow or no cats? If you have no check engine light light and there's a CAI on the car already then the car has been tuned. Full exhaust, CAI, and a good tune is good for 530+ rwhp depending on the car/trans. The car may have a pulley on it as well, it could have injectors and a lot of things that you probably can't tell without knowing what to look for. See if any of the pulleys have a brand name on them, see if the belt is OEM etc.

If no pulleys are on the car then Adding a 10% lower pulley will get you up to about 580+ and will really "wake" the car up even more. If you want to go past that point, then there's many options.

Checked the upper pulley and it's a Lingenfelter 2.55" 18% overdrive pulley (L220030709). The cats are there but don't look stock to me, I think they maybe a part of the Kooks headers or Borla exhaust. I'll need to get the car up in the air to get a better look. So, all told I have the CAI, Kooks headers, Borla exhaust, and the 18% overdrive pulley. How can I tell if the injectors have been changed? And do I need to be using another type fuel if they have been changed? Been using premium (92) but only filled the tank once so far. I think I need to call the dealership and ask to be put in contact with the PO.

Sounds like you got a helluva ride and the mods are already there. My guess they changed the injectors and might have a fuel booster. Look where the battery is or under the back seat. That's where my fuel booster is. Surprised it didn't come with the tuner. When I traded my first gen5, I gave them the tuner and all the original parts. Just a thought. Good luck with ur new ride it certainly sounds like a great car.

Cool, well your car is already built. Upper 2.55", CAI, Full exhaust is good for 580-600 WHP.
