We ran our 2010 Cadillac CTS-V 6speed in the mile today. It ran 185.2 mph in the standing mile with approx. 650 rw hp.
Hat's off to your CTS-V, VERY VERY impressive.... and it sounded like a Nascar

This was MTI Racing's first top speed run at the Texas Mile in our newest test vehicle. We set the bench mark high for a modified 2010 Camaro, and we have plains to be back in the spring to break 190 mph. For now MTI Racing is happy running 182 mph with our 639 rwhp 3800+ lb Camaro. Not to shabby for a flying brick as John Hennessey put it..

The rear dovetail spoiler is one of MTI Racing's designed products for the new 2010 Camaro. It is in production now and will be available on our web site shortly. www.mtiracing.com

The MTI Racing Camaro is wearing Brembo's newest upgrade for the 2010 Camaro with their 6 piston mono block calipers and 15" two piece rotors.

Here is a sample video of the MTI Racing Camaro performing a top speed run.

Reese, it was great meeting you. Congrats on how well all of your cars performed at the Texas Mile.

FYI, here is what a 2011 Z28 might sound like running down the mile a couple of years from now:

Thought I would bring this thread back... I want to run The Mile, the next race is March 26th. I am going to run down there with SilverTurtle I think.

Anyone else thinking about going again?

We'll be there again in timing and scoring. Come hit us up if you see us rolling around (white camaro w/ orange stripes and blue bowties!) Now just need to get the stripes painted before the event and maybe a few mods. Only ran ONCE at the last one (I was working) and went the fastest of any of the stock Camaros. Going to go see what this new camaro will do with a few modifications and probably nicer weather!

Hope to see you guys out there!

Talked to your guy Kevin about getting a good deal on a shifter at C5F. Any chance you could extend that same deal to me the Mile so I can get it broke in before Valdosta?

What was your speed??
I am picking my car up thursday from Xtreme HP. Should be sitting a strong 600 at the wheels. D1SC Procharger/Kooks headers/Full exhaust.
I am excited to go down there, never been. When do you think the list will be full? When should I sign up?

I'll probably go. It's an 8 hr drive home, but the mile is about 30 min from there so it'll be fun to go again. I doubt I'll run as I'm stock so I'll just top out at 155, but maybe I can convince my dad to let his '30 run

1930 model A. 350 vortech 'slightly' modded with a 700r4. He runs around with a big group down there. Bart Linderman (I think that's how he spells his name) also has a c5 and a vett or two will be probably be out there, and a lot of the regulars from the Corpus Christi Snapka's meets.

I'm in Lubbock, so it's 8 hours to get home in Refugio. Or ~7.5 hours to get to Goliad. (Refugio to Goliad is 22 miles, then however many to the Texas Mile.)
