Wash it when you want to.A compleat detail on my car normaly takes 4-5 hr's so i do it maybe every 2 weeks thats a compleate wash and 1-3 stage wax job..the reason i do it is because orange picks up oil on you hands really really good so there is allways hand prints on my car..I dont know how bad yellow will do this but im a clean freak as it is..And on the oil change its up to you if you have the money to do it than have at it i waited till 1500 so i wouldnt have to change it 3 times incase it didnt get all the metal out the second time.I did it at 1500 and again at 2000 and the oil was clean no metal

The way we break in new motors is to run them and vary the RPM's but not push it heavy (under 4500rpm or so). Change oil at 500 miles, repeat running at various RPM's (no cruise control!), run another 500 miles, put in synthetic (I like royal purple). and you're good to go.
I would also advise not parking it under a tree. Sap is worse than sun imo!
