The best thing to do is when an officer gives you a warning saying "I heard you drive fast, will you slow down" is to say yes sir and go on about it. Drive like a little old lady for a couple of weeks and then do what you want, but that should pull some of the heat off of you. If during those few weeks you get a few looks from the cops that's normal, but if you start a pattern of timid/calm/normal driving then the police in a 3 cop town will realize that whoever was telling them that you drive fast was not creditable. Just don't prove them right when you get past the month or so time frame and drive like a complete moron.

I drive an inferno orange Camaro with white stripes. You can see it coming a mile way. I havnt had any issues Black cars just blend in with the rest of cars on the road unless modded up nice.

I just turned 25 and had my Camaro for 3 years.

I've been pulled over ... about 6 times in it, I drive a regular black SS but it's extremely loud. Longtube headers, no resonator with muffler delete.

Two for no front license plates (Not uncommon in Texas, typically doesn't get enforced depending on the LEO)

4 different times for speeding, twice being in a one week span in California.

Two here in San Antonio, TX.

Three different tickets, the final time I was pulled over I was let off with a warning.

All of them were my fault, I was being stupid or driving reckless, just things like going 73 in a 65 in California, going 91 in a 75mph lane in Mexicali, CA at 3am.

Since then, I learned my lesson and just learned to chill. Spirited driving is part of my daily regime, but nothing stupid, I haven't had a ticket since.

Push button QTP.but full open (except on my block)most of the time..looks like it's doing 110 mph sitting still

When I had my '12, the halo's were fairly new and cops would see me coming a mile away. With that car, I had a state cop egg me on for a race!...before he wrote me a $200 ticket. Today, not so much thankfully.

No problems with cops or punctuation here. I tend to drive fast everywhere I go but keep close to the speed limit in towns/cities.

It's not what you drive, it's how you drive it that gets their attention.

That said, any "performance" car might get a couple of extra clicks from the radar gun, but given the situation of pulling you over because you might have, or might soon be speeding or pulling over the Camry that is currently driving like an a$$hat, they'll take the Camry.

I've got some bad news for you, our cars are just not that cool that cops are going to single them out. They're more concerned with keeping the 95% of the people safe from the 5% that drive like idiots. Don't be one of the 5% and you're good to go.

Only encounter I've had with the police is when an officer in an unmarked followed into the gym parking lot. As I was backing in a space he stopped in front of me. Figured I must have done something wrong, expected to get a talking to. Turns out he just wanted to check out my car.
