Every nut and bolt was removed during the rebuild. When I finished, the car was better than new. The original engine was gone when I bought the basket case car. It still had the original Muncie M21 and the 3.36 geared 12 bolt rear. I installed a GM crate 350 and put a Tremec 5 speed trans behind it. Added Vintage Air and installed Dakota Digital instruments. It was a 2 year labor of love that included replacing a lot of sheet metal.
