So how do they now how many miles you put on the car?
They did not ask how many miles are on my cars?

I work from home so I really don't drive much.

Mine are all agreed on value with modifications. No HPDE is not covered. That is one of the reasons I staid with Gieco. They will cover you once and then drop you. Its kinda a well known in the Vette circles.

For the cost difference I can afford to get HPDE coverage. Its $2100 less a year. That will cover several track days.
I switched from USAA to Geico a couple of years ago, and wasn't aware they will cover an HDPE incident once. I'm assuming it's an unofficial policy?

Yes. I have gone over there policy. There exclusion is for timed events. HDPE is not timed and thus they cover it. Once. They have dropped everyone who has used it, but honestly who cares. If they fix your car then its a good deal.

I have talked in Corvette forums to several guys who got there cars fixed after an HDPE wreck with Geico. I have not had any claims with them. You can search the internet and find a few threads of people claiming Geico has fixed there cars.

A fellow member with my track club had a pretty bad incident with his Porsche GT3, Geico did covet it ($40K ish) but he had to jump through hoops.

After being with Geico for over 5 years, they really screwed me over when I was run off the road and crashed my car. Due to the low volume of my car, they sought out two horrible comparison vehicles to determine the value of my car. They wouldn't budge and to save myself from headaches, I ultimately agreed. I'm jumping ship asap.

I have NCM insurance. I had an idiot total our 2011 white 2SSRS..he knocked the front end between 15 and 18 " to the passenger side. He was 22, ran a stop sign, hit me across my front end (a t-bone that peeled the front end to the passenger side), no insurnace, and no license..the trifecta wreck !!

After a brief investigation, because you know anyone with a Camaro HAS to to have been speeding....according to him, I used measurements and an online clalcualtor to prove that since I stopped in 26 feet trying to turn to get away from him as he came straight thru the intersection, that when he hit me that I REALLY was only going 25.The NCM guy and the backing insurance for them were straight up, best way I ever saw a wreck like that handled. A true bitter-sweet moment. Only made better by us getting a Z/28.

NCM paid off the agreed on vlaue of the car (The invoice price plus all the trimmings); then added $2100 as I had teh policy at time of wreck for 9 months 6 days..they give you 2% inflaton per quarter. Great deal, we walked away with just under 40K, with absolutely zero issues. He's probably getting sued..he should has he threated to "cut me up"...that w/o ever knowing I had a .45 in the car with me....

Anyway I'd wholeheartedly recommend NCM. Their prices are realy fair, then again I always bid insurance pricing out, but we have an '09 Z06 and a '15 Z/28 insured through them. We used a deductible like everyone else (500) , then we can put 6000 miles/yr on the Z/28 and 3000 miles/yr on the Z06. I think we're paying like 1900/yr...with agreed on pricing on the Z06 at $55K and the Z/28 at $53K. That fully covers each car - the Z/28 is bone stock, but I've got a couple of mods on the Z06.

On settlement: It took about 3 weeks for everythin to go thru, but in the end American Modern Insurance Group (NMC) overnighted the check to us. really quickly given that it took about that much time to talk to everyone, assign blame and detrmine that the car had >$22K in damage...the totalled limit was $18K. As an FYI: American Modern Insurance Group is the insurer for NCM; they were super to work with as well.

Yearly price increases without any traffic violations or change in plan?

X4 or X5 with NCM! I used Hagerty for numerous years and never had an incident and they seemed fine to work with but NCM saved me money and have both our classic cars and our newer Z/28 and Z06 Corvette with them.
Just call and get a quote from Adam as previously mentioned. Many of my friends have switched to NCM as well and the reason was the same for me, cost!
