You want 2-way, but seperate components. Not coaxial.
THIS. 3 ways suck. and coaxials reign in the 2 way or up world. more balanced. the true SQ setup is components and running tweeters elevated in the doors or a pillars. brings the sound UP and towards your ear. i just put in my CTSounds components and made them actively ran ( no crossovers i use a DSP or processor to do the work )

I think the base model speakers are all 4 ohm as well, no? So you will want to get the same when you purchase your new ones.

Also, we should mention that if you were to replace the 6x9's in the rear deck, then that's where you would want to go with 2-way (or 3-way) coaxials.

Beyond that, I wonder if this project is worth the money though. Without putting an amp in, I'm not sure you're going to hear that much improvement over what you already have. Even with a sick pair of speakers.

Need help!

Just looking to upgrade my door speakers and tweeters to something a little louder. Clarity and crispness are most important.
Help was provided- go visit a professional shop like car toys and listen to speakers you like.

They are called Kappa and are the best product money can buy up through and even over $700/pr from other manufactures.

Should be 2 ohm. Regardless, coaxials are from the 90's, sound like absolute crap and cost about $10 each. There are 1,000+ threads here on speakers and quality and none of them discuss coaxials. 6.5" separates are the highest quality available for fronts and rears but the rears cannot be replaced unless you buy adapters (which don't ever work) or replace the amp.

What are your thoughts? Apparently these are direct replacements for what I have and he still doing research on the tweeters...
I can't imagine the hack job that would suggest such a failure in our vehicles. Where did you find him exactly? Craigslist? I wouldn't put "Pioneer 3-way" in the vehicle of my worst enemy.

You've been asked here to provide a precise budget.

What shops have you visited to listen to sound quality options?

Did you not research any prior threads at all ?

I can't imagine anyone who did, would somehow arrive at walmart to have the electronics guy install pioneer in his off time.

Go visit a real shop like Lynchburg Car Stereo Installation.

Great option i just listed. Basically BNIB Alpine Type R components. Would be great for the front doors. 330w peak 110wRms per side.
