I like the concept of the Noweeds but I question how long the moving parts last on a red hot exhaust. What's the ballpark for hiring out the installation? Does it ever stick in between where you get half of each sound?

So noweeds have been seen to last far longer than regular cutouts, and with the few that have had failures, Steve at noweeds is always happy to find a solution to the problem. When I first installed mine, I was having an issue where the cutouts would only move about 10% when I pushed the buttons but Steve told me how to reset them and that fixed the issue. I've never had them get stuck at all. I have noticed though that when the metal shrinks and expands, the butterfly will seal itself against the pipe and when it tried to open you'll head a loud snap which is just the butterfly coming free from being sealed against the pipe. This worried me a bit at first but I open and close them very frequently and I've never had a problem with them not doing what they should. Overall I would call these "quirks", not problems. The noweeds do exactly what they're supposed to and I've never had them fail. And I know that if for some reason they do, Steve will help me get the issue resolved. I hope that helps answer your questions

This⬆️

I did a big write up on the brass gears failing on QTPs motors AFTER I installed headers. Turns out the higher heat was weakening the gears so I installed heat shields, problem solved.

However, NoWeeds are badass. Deep pockets is deep pockets, plus no weeds wasn't THE thing when I installed my cutouts.

Thanks, Syn, that sounds like an honest response. I'm in the auto/truck parts bizz too and realize that nothing's truly guaranteed to be perfect. I tend to deal in the more 'tried and true' product but chit still happens. Whenever you put a name ("Steve") to a product I tend to sign on. But my fear is what happens when the 'Steve's' move on? But again, thanks for the review.

Not that it matters cuz you can switch to "stock" but when the valve opens to 'bad ass' mode, does it loosen your dental fillings inside the car? I kinda hope so!

Now I'm not saying these are issues that cause the product to not do it's job. Like I said, they're more of quirks. I've only heard of a handful of failures out of the hundreds that have been sold and installed. People tend to only talk about the negative experiences and ignore the great ones. Personally, I've had a great experience with these and I stand behind them 100%. I never hesitate to recommend these.

Certainly seemed like it. Took them about 6 weeks from when I ordered to when they arrived but the wait was worth it. Car sounds great!

I'm seriously considering QTP low profile cutouts. Can't justify paying double for noweeds or I would.

Great vid by Nick. But the chances of that happening to someone else are slim unless they went full racecar like he did haha
