Yeah the guys above have you on the right track. Definitely it's either in the tune, lack of fuel, and/or cooling. 2.55" with headers is definitely too far IMO and I'd never do it. Go buy a set of ID850s or 1050s and see if it changes anything and even if it doesn't, once you fix the actual problem your car will be safe for afterwards.

By the way on a good dyno and decent temps an M6 ZL1 with your mods should see no less than 580 wheel and should be knocking on the door of 600.

Good point.

Start the car and check your inter cooler pump....if it's stops after a few secs from start up you have too much air in the system.

2.5 upper with stock balancer pulley is 18% overdrive.
I had a 10% overdrive pulley on my car and the injectors were static (over 100% duty).

That thread means nothing...The OP hasn't even changed the upper pulley yet...If anything it indicates that he doesn't know how to use the tuner correctly...

You're wrong.

It's been well documented in many cases running anything more than 10% lower, stock injectors are maxed out.

Partly correct. There is only 3 tuners shops in this country that I would trust tuning my cars. After seeing some of these tunes from these high volume shops, just makes you Lol

My injectors were at 105% duty with just a 10% lower and headers...and that was with COT turned off and leaned out from factory at redline. It may have worked that way for quite some time but if the fuel pump evens started to weaken she would have been toast. That's my actual experience, not just assuming someone else knows what they're doing because they charge for it. Your car, do what you want.

I never said that, so not sure why you're butt hurt and feel need to quote their "stage I kits".

Just to be clear, you made an authoritative statement with regard to not having to upgrade "fuel system" when using 2.5" upper. That is a generalized statement and cannot be applied to every car....no two are identical. What works for one may not work for all.

despite numerous people in this thread/w real world results stating the same thing regarding limitations of stock injectors, you are in essence saying people on this forum don't know shit.

A while back I talked with cunningham motorsports about if I needed fueling upgrades beyond injectors for a stage 1 kit (BAP) - they said that they handled that on a case by case basis.

According to HP tuners log, with stock injectors my injector duty was at 115% with a CAI, 10% pulley and headers.

I upgraded to ID850's. Im around 55% DC at 575 rwhp. Stock fuel pump still, no BAP; at redline i only have about 45 psi of fuel pressure left.

I sit around 55-58 lbs of fuel pressure with my mods listed below and I run a booster pump.

For what it's worth to add to this topic........
