Just did a 230 mile round trip this past wk-end. On the interstate with a little push wind I made 27 with the cruise set at 77. On the way back with the AC on, cruise at 77 I made 23.6.

2015 Automatic SS here - but my MPG is actually on the higher end of what Ive seen on here. Car has 19,500 miles on it and its basically an interstate commuter car for work. I have a less restrictive exhaust system which Ive heard can help a little, but I get 24.5 MPG on average Highway. Right around 18 if I was just using it for city driving. Ive got a heavy foot in the city though. and FWIW the 24.5 MPG highway is going about 80 MPH most of the time. My avg speed for the last tank I test was 51.9 MPH and it was 93 octance fuel

![]() The best I've ever done even when trying real hard with cruise set was 23.8 @ 75 MPH and no traffic on the interstate.

I've done 250 mile round trips and averaged almost 26 mpg.....all highway, and I use the actual amount of gas burned over the distance to calculate it.

2011 SS m6 - I average 21.5mpg with my daily commute, which is a about 15 miles of interstate, and 2 miles of city, and 15 miles on a 55mph road with an occasional traffic light. I had onr week that I absolutely babied it to see what I could get, and actually got 25mpg on the gauge for the week, but that took way too much concentration.

I get around 11-12 around town, 25 or so on the interstate if I remember correctly. My current commute doesn't involve highway driving so can't really remember.

This. I avg like 13 - 15mpg in the city Around like 22 on the highway. But I got myself a 6.2 liter, 440 horsepower LS3 (L99) for the performance, not the mpg. Good topic though, as others have said if you drive like a granny and keep it under 3k rpm. Then you'll see a big difference in mpg. |

MPG differences
How are you guys even getting that mpg?!? Lol when I was stock I wasn't getting close to 25 and when I got my headers, tune, a long with my k&n air intake and resonators deleted I was getting like 13.8 maybe 14. Now I have done way more mods and I'm currently getting 9.8 mpg on E85. You guys must be driving really slowly or I have a heavy foot which is probably the cause hahah

Ehh, I wouldn't say it was all BS. I'm sure there are some members exaggerating but that doesn't mean everyone is. I can set my cruise control to 70 in 6th and get 25mpg if I try hard haha. It's not impossible. And I'm on an email tune from DynoSteve. If someone were to be on the right type of interstate with a dynotune, I could see some achieving an even higher number. Not to mention, I'm sure altitude, tire pressure, and having windows up all play a role in it. It's not so simple as black and white; you don't get that mileage so no one else does.

I've seen 27 (above) and into the 30's on prior discussions. I bet if your on an interstate at 55 MPH, you might get close to those BS #'s. But you could also get killed by everyone else who's going 75-80. I'm not going to try that.
