"just put a V8 in it" is not an appropriate contribution.

thanks

I hounded no one. I didn't say they wanted a v6. The op asked for thoughts. I gave thoughts. I was respectful and gave a respectful opinion. I did contribute what I wanted to contribute.

If all you got out of my post was, "just put a v8 in it," maybe you should read the entire post.

Then lets be clear. you need to do a better job of respecting their choice of modding a V6 without referring to a V8...

You think you can handle that?

above I said no disrespect intended and if no one in here understands that then I don't know what to say about you.

I had a v6, wish I left it stock over all, and wish I saved for an ls1... big whoop... I guess because I paid $30k for a v6 I need to cry about what 7camaro7 just said... GROW UP!

Don't waste your time...the boy just don't get it

Here's what ugly mufflers look like while they are still installed! LOL

What funny is the couple of car shows I actually went to this summer, i was surprised a the number of guys who pretty quickly realized those huge cannisters were gone! LOL

(yes, in this picture you can see the ugly u-clamps... but hey it's a prototype! LOL)

@ the op - I really like the sound of the MRT and also of the Magnaflow. However, I also think theres a lot to be said for a custom job - just playing with it until it sounds like you want. I mean, thats how the MRT kit got started.

Speaking of MRT.... guess who spent the afternoon at MRT... hehehehehe....

If you liked the sound of the MRT before....

Will be starting a new thread shortly....

hey scrming that does sound good! but thats not really a muffler though right? will that pass emissions? i know that not everywhere has to do emissions...must be nice! along with that im looking into actual mufflers from the 350z ill try and post a sound bit when i find one. i heard one the other day and they just sound so mean, like you know they have some power under there!

i think the problems im having is, that the camaro has true duels! and most of the time when you put duel mufflers on a v6, there is usually just one pipe that splits in to two....

IMHO scrming has the best sounding V6 hands down. Now if he'll figure out how to plug that hole in the intake resonator....lol. Early in the new year I plan to put on the MRT kit and see what I can do with that stock air tube.

Thanks!

Now that Scott is done with his SEMA vehicles I think I'm going to recruit him for Scrmings Intake Experiment Part III! LOL

You should look at this one and listen to it with some good headphones or real speakers.

For comparison, here's clip of a 350Z:

Not sure what is involved with emissions down your way... is it a plug into the computer, tail pipe sniffer or visual inspection?

The new setup we worked on yesterday looks more like mufflers than the original setup that has the aero-turbine resonators.. I have no idea if they would pass but I would think there would be a good chance they would...
