Anyone got pics of their underbody for reference?

Also, i'm trying to get an idea of how much it will be to put this thing back to stock? What are the odds the dealer will work with me in returning back to stock?

Also, if there is an exhaust, i have to assume there is an intake and maybe a tune. I would obviously ask for a re-flash and complete service before i drive off with this thing.

It appears that the car came with the standard single tip per side exhaust. Check RPO codes for NPP dual-mode exhaust. If no NPP code, then the owner just removed the huge stock SS mufflers...derisively known as "suitcases." If no headers and no cold air intake kit...probably no tune. The dealer would not CPO certify if they found a tune, so a tune is unlikely.

Sans the minor imperfections you note, looks good to me. If the price is right, I'd buy it. Underside looks clean to me, with the exception of that non-OEM exhaust which is rusting because of the inferior coating. As far as your concerns about a car being driven on salted roads, I don't see it, and anyway, you're going to be driving the car in upstate NY. Are you never gonna drive it in those conditions yourself??

Check around the area .. there's alot of 1LE's used for sale around here. You still can't beat the price and performance of the gen5 1LE! Sun Chevy in Cicero has had a few come and go quickly in the pass few months... I think I may have seen that black one you looked at before it was traded in.. I believe the guy lived in Clay or Cicero area who owned it.

The left front passenger tire wear pattern is much worse than the others...With the slight dent those could be from some light front end damage (that may not show up on a Carfax)...They would have to put a set of tires on it, alignment and repair the dent and replace the missing or damaged fender well before I would give any major consideration to purchase...Check the front end for alignment with the hood and both fenders...

My car has 46k on it. Pfadt trailing arms, toe links, and solid subframe bushings. So it looks a little different than the picture you took. The last pictures is for the dent reference. It was taken about 4 months after buying the car.
Thanks for the pics, it does help.

No, I have a MK7 GTI as my daily for winter so the 1le would be my fun mountain carver. I am planning on keeping this thing for a long time! As my family grows and life takes over, I have a feeling this is my last fun car purchase until im 60!

Yes, I noticed the tire wear right away and I agree with what you said before any purchase agreement.

you are exactly right, the carfax reflexes an owner from that area. You saw it driven or you saw it traded in?

BTW-

the car is listed for $30999. It's a 2ss, thats why the value is still high. For a 2013, not sure if paying more than 30k is realistic. Plus, the damage and tire wear. I'm going today to look it over again. I'll keep you guys posted!

That's way too high even with the low mileage.

FWIW, that is too high for a '13. I had a 2015 1LE, and when I was searching; low mileage, southern, no rust 1LE's (2014-2015 1SS and 2SS) were going for $27-29k a little over two yrs. ago, so $30,999 today----nope, I'd let it go but that's me; especially since you've got concerns on a dent, alignment, some rust and a few other things .....

I met the prior owner at local coffee and cars.. FYI the price seems a bit high because I just met another guy from our area who bought a 2014 1LE for $30,000 with 32k in near mint condition..I bought mine from a private sale(no dealer) 2 1/2 years ago for $29,900 with 10k in near mint condition...I say keep looking for a better deal if the dealership is not willing to go lower on price!

feel under the front fender that appears to be dented... feel the inner lip... if it's folder under then more than likely it once had lowering springs and hit a pothole or something and jammed the tire into the fender... my left front looks like that because I had my coilovers too low and tires too wide and bounced the tire off the fender...

I would say that is real high. I bought(2/20/17) my 2015 2SS/RS/1LE, Recaros, Nav, NPP with 6700mi for $31,999. Shipping from Miami to Milwaukee was $850. Be patient, surf the internet and find exactly what you want. Don't be afraid to purchase one out of town/state. If you can wait, buy it during the winter months.
