Mine worked great for about 6 months, and then I got the dreaded reduced power. I removed and car went back to normal but I still miss the VTC. I'm tuned now but the changeability of the throttle response was nice.

I had a VTC and before I had a chance to use it, I sold it because I got a PTB. I've now since gotten rid to the PTB because of all the CEL's it would cause. Now I'm thinking again about the VTC however, I thought the VTC only simulated pressing on the gas pedal harder correct??? So putting this thing on a 6 would be like me just diving the car harder and using all of the extra gas that I would be using if I was just driving the car harder. And the only really benefit is that all I need to do is touch the gas pedal a little to make the car go fast as if I was stomping on it ... or am I mistaken.

You are mistaken. It doesn't simulate anything. It increases throttle response depending on where you set it. The best way to say it is if you set it on, 9 for example, when you push the pedal there's instant response. Instant!

In theory, maybe. But in the real world, my foot would never be able to simulate the response of the VTC. That said, yes you will use more fuel because you will be driving around like a maniac after the VTC is installed.

Lol, yeah if you leave it on high settings all the time....but how much would it really affect your mileage?

Confirmed!

I dropped like 2 mpg immediately after install. But that was no fault but my own lol.
