LOL on my second battery with my 13 ..... never had a problem removing its power, it would most likely be gremlins because your electrical system is operating on such a low voltage due to the batteries age....and if you have a coupe you can get through the back seat to pop the trunk.....I use the dealer for nothing except occasional parts.....DIY..... after restoring power with a good battery you could just index by the DIC message to lower and raise windows.

The Camaro tends to act like it is possessed by satan when the battery gets weak. The one thing you can almost always count on is a Stabilitrak error, followed by all sorts of weird and unpredictable behavior, codes, and lights. You don't need a dealer to get a genuine AC Delco battery. Amazon even has them.

Did they at least offer to top off your blinker fluid for free? You are getting screwed, to program the window you roll it all the way down then all the way up (maybe up then down) but that's it.

I paid $185 installed at the dealer for the 72 month Delco. They indexed the windows as well.
Your dealer needs a dozen eggs on his windows.

so if you don't read the manual, there is just two things missing from roll down and back up to reprogram the windows. DIC will tell you which way to go, but hold the button in the direction it says even after full travel until you hear a click and the message says to reverse the direction. hold for same amount of time until another click. DIC should say it is done.
had seen the posts of "just roll down and back up" before and ended up back on the computer to get correct method! hope new battery fixes it all! |

As you can see from many above posts, replacing the battery at the dealer should not be an opportunity to be ripped off.
If you have already been ripped off, it's time for a confrontation. |
