No reason to not buy a CTF car if you can verify it history, show car yes, press car - probably not!

With so many options out there production cars are probably the best bet as when you go to sell it, there will be fewer questions.

Late to the party.... Computer says 11 mpg.

I can get 16 to 18 on the highway without really paying attention. Around town is more like 13 and the track is 1 to 3. I use 7 gallons every 20 min while on the track.

Most everyone answered your questions, so I'll just add for the MPG and a couple other things:

Bringing it back up from Austin going 4mph over the speed limit with cruise, I averaged 22.7. Driving it around, and having fun I go between 13.9-18. I've put over 1k miles on mine since I bought it a month ago.

I got mine with 43.9k on the clock. #80 One owner, never tracked. Rotors look fantastic for the mileage, brake pads look to be fine (haven't taken the wheels off.. need race ramps and rotor protectors) and it drives pretty damn great. I get noises on tight slow speed turns, but I understand that's common. Pulls like a bat out of hell, which is why people question me on the engine mods I've got planned... they just don't get it. lol My wife does though.. fantastic woman there.

Mainly, even if you find a slightly higher mileage one, do your research on it before you shy away. I regret nothing about mine. Even with all of the daily-driven paint scratches etc. It's just so special.

I really can't answer your questions any better than what you have been given but I have owned two LS7 powered vehicles. The first was a new 2008 Z06 and now I own a 2014 Z28. I have had no issues with the drive train on either car.
My Z06 was driven quite a bit but never pushed hard.
The '14 only has 800 miles and is in absolute mint condition. It is car No 333 with air and radio, and the color is Red Hot. The car has not been tracked and is stored inside under cover. If you are serious about a Z28, this is worth looking at. I am asking $47,500.
Thanks.
