not a fan of the friction additive. it is designed to make the clutches have less chatter but not ideal for maximum clamping from what my dealer told me. I was advised to just pu straight 75-90 in.

If you use Royal Purple Gear Max you don't need friction additive. It already
has it in it, makes it easier. Works great.

You'll need to make sure that whatever gear lube you go with is compatible with your specific posi unit...on some of the clutches on the Eatons we've had rebuilt in the past, synthetics were *not* recommended because they could delaminate the clutch face...on those units they recommended dyno 80w/90.

You are correct ... Use only GM LS fluid .... To the op what happened to you is normal for one of these rears do you have a line lock ? if not the massive rear brembos are to blame ... lose them

Holds one quart. If you use a high quality lube like Royal Purple you will be fine, no need for the friction additive, the RP already has it. It's not like GM makes their own product, they just put their name on the bottle.

The GM dealer themselves recommended the Royal Purple Gear Max
for my rear end lube change. They are the ones that changed it.
It works great. Every burnout I have ever done and the 60+ passes
down the strip have always left nice even black marks. Both tires always hook up together.
