Some dealers have purchased them, and probably some of the 19,000 are more cars that dealers have ordered (for their lots).

Was just in Oklahoma City a couple of weeks ago and they had at least 5 in that I counted ranging from LS to SS with different options. Even got to test drive an LS manual.

As of today,my dealer has 2 SS and one lt2 sitting in the showroom, some buyers have backed out due to job loss locally or other factors. One buyer had to sell his back after driving it less than 3000 miles, his wife filed for divorce.

If you look you can find what you want, just don't pay any markup!!!

2 Dealers close to me have plenty. One has 3 SS's and an LS. The other one has at least 2 SS's. All not sold last I looked. Sadly they are still marking up about $5,000 over MSRP which is probably why they are sitting.

well I hope they sit there a long time! Here we are in some cities waiting forever and those greedy dealers are stockpiling.

I bought mine off the lot May 30 in Jasper GA. It was only 1 of 2 I could find in a 300 mile radius at the time.

As I understand all dealers receive an allocation for a car. They ether order a customers car or if they don't have one waiting they order what they think will sell. Some dealers are asking top dollar for these and getting it. Some people wont pay over MSRP so they go where they wont get screwed. I would think those trying to over charge people would have a few sitting on the lot right now. Waiting for someone willing to shell out what they want. If it's ABM they will get it too since they are no longer produced.

I got mine off the truck the dealership called said a black 2LT/RS just arrived we will give you what you want for your trade, plus GM Supplier, and the 60-day rebate I drove over the next morning and picked her up she was on the ground still in the plastic. This car was for inventory they just happened to see my post on Camaro 5.

local dealership has 8 in stock right now, drove past the lot the other day and there they were, all lined up in various colors and trim levels... guess that's how it goes when you try to sell them 2k over MSRP

Edit: 11 in stock, must have been some in the bay

Not here. These are "lot cars" as they have no customer name on the window sticker. There may be some "hot" markets still where everything is sold...but more and more you are seeing multiple unsold cars on the lots. One dealer I know of consistently has 6-8 and the other has between 3-6 cars at any given time.

This is great for the people that are still out there looking for a car as it will knock the "gotta have it" money right off the window! At this point in the game MSRP should be the high point and invoice deals should be right around the corner.
