When you say Canvas-like, is it Canvas? As in similar/same as the Tent material?

Do you feel this is too rough that will scratch taking on and off?

As long as your car is clean when you take it on and off you will be fine. But if the car is dirty it could scratch. But any car cover will scratch a dirty car.

Let us know in a few months if it scratches your Camaro.

It's definitely see-through but for dust only and $35.00 I wouldn't expect more.
