In my experience the price usually varies. A basic tune for headers and CAI is about $200.00 to $300.00. Includes numerous basic options such as remove speed limiter, change rev. limiter, torque controls, etc. More extensive dyno tuning usually required for additional add ons because each car is different and usually runs $400.00 to $600.00 with three to five dyno runs.

West coast of FL, we charge $499 complete dyno & street driveability N/A & $150 an hour for 2-3 bar FI. $599 FI MAF.

Tweaks are free there after unless a major change is done.

We also offer one on one tuning school 2 days for $900 includes complete tuning book and unlimited dyno time for just you & your car.

EFI Alchemy is a very respected tuner for those that inquired as is Dan of Masport here in FL.

I would expect 45 to 50 rwhp. LS3 motors only pickup about 5 to 10hp from the a tune. L99 have a big improvement. Tune is necessary to keep engine code light from coming on.

My LS3 picked up 30hp and 35 lb.ft. with ARHeaders. You can feel the difference. Very little if any increase in hp over stock muffler till over 500hp. Even then told a hot cam blower car only loses about 10hp with stock exhaust. I like the sound and noise level with stock muffler and ARHeaders. One racing cat instead of two stock cats and a silencer on each side.

Custom cam from Thunderracing added 34 rwhp, still using stock airbox holding out for Vararam.

Gave up on Vararam and gained 34 rwhp with Halltech Carbon Fiber 102maf intake. Don't know how much due to intake versus air starved cam but Halltech is a damn good intake. Only gains about 10 degrees over outside temp while in staging lanes.

Ported Intake ($300.00) and throttle body ($150.00) added another 15 rwhp.
Now approximately 470 rwhp and approximately 550 hp at the motor.

This is the test car for Thunderracing.com and tuned by Jeff at epspowsys.com.
