I was going to say it takes way less $ damage to total a $12,000 car than a $40,000 5th gen. So two Camaro's with the same damage even could have a different answer.
This leans towards being totaled but if they cut it all apart and spend the $ it can be fixed... |

Sad to see the damages to your car but the important thing is that you walked away shaken but not hurt.
The airbags do not appear to have deployed, that's a plus but insurance companies are quick to write off a car nowadays....but it can be fixed. You'll have to play hard ball with them and insist on repairs...not total loss, assuming you want to keep the car alive. Best of luck! |

So after going through the insurance they totaled it out. They said it was due to the unibody being bent to the left. They offered to let me buy it back for a small amount. I declined to buy it back and just took the money. I am glade I walked away in good health and minor injuries and other driver did as well.
