Ctek, I remove the bottom plastic plug and feed line through the bottom so I can see the charge status light that comes with each individual charge connector. That allows me to move it to the John Deere when it shows in need of a charge.

Something I learned to do is flag that it's plugged in. Those and engine block heaters it's easy to back up forgetting it's still connected. Throw a rag over your left rear view mirror or something to remind you to disconnect them before driving.

I just charge my battery once a month. Use a smart charger hooked up under the hood. Battery is at 12.3 volts at the end of the month.
