Also a side note. When you go to pass emmissions some states run a readiness procedure to make sure all test pass even though you do not have a Check Engine Light. Here in Houston / Harris County you can only fail one of the parameters on the test.

I spoke too soon! Tripped a code on the way home tonight...haven't connected HPT up yet to see what code as of yet....opened my mouth too soon darn it! lol

MATT55 - how does that take care of a P0420 code?

MrGazinya - I disconnected the battery before I started the swap. Yes I could tell a big difference in power, acceleration of the motor, and sound. I am currently with a Maganaflow competition axle back, so the only noise suppression is one set of resonators....and man does it scream when you smash the throttle now. Might have to invest in some mufflers to de-tone it a bit! :-)

Good luck havent tried them on the new 2010's yet.
Given the Severity of what happend to Casper I wonder how they are getting away with this seems unfair.

Ted.

Canadian company. They can get away with it since they're outside of the USA.

From what Ive gathered the 2nd/after CAT O2 main job is to see if the CAT is working/cloged and it gives info back to the ECU in .xxx Volts .The 1st O2(pre cat) job is to give feedback in open loop .

When the CAT is not there the Votlage values are off (lower/richer) causing the ECU to trip a code .

By moving the O2 out of the exhaust pipe a lil the O2 gets less exhaust flow and reads higher voltage(leaner) .

So the ECU "see" a CAT

Give it a try its very cheap (like $5) , Ive been using this for over 5 years of 2cars and no CEL .

North VA does the readiness tests during emissions as well. Was giving me a huge headache with my F/I G35.

Matt55 are you using sims on a 2010 Camaro? Neither simulators or or anti-foulers had any affect on my emissions here. The CEL would never come on, however, using the computer, you could see those readiness tests never came up either; which an emission tester would instantly flag and make you come back in a week.

Not on an SS
Sounds like the ECU was just reset ...
I just had may Evo inspected in NC (OBD2 test) , Like a dummy I was tuning/REflashing on the way to the inspection .
The ECU showed it was just REset , I came back in 50 miles and every thing was good

MATT55 - thanks for the heads up...I be that is what has tripped my code is the fact that I am using HF CATS so the 02 is seeing high flow rates than calibrated too so its tripping it. I will run by O'Reilly's to see if I can pick up a few anti-foulers to get this resolved.

I let my G cruise about 200 miles on the dyno and the readiness tests still showed "incomplete". Like I said, not enough to trigger a CEL; but def wouldn't pass emissions.

Oh definitely. That's the reason it was tried on my G in the first place. Cheap and it is known to have worked for some.
