The Camaro is not an easy car to start adding stuff too because I feel alot of whats on the market doesnt look so correct from a design perspective and thats my trade.

The Callaway stuff is a carbon version of the Street Scene kit, diffuser is a one off for sure as is the wing.

I like the Callaway wing alot. These taller wings are overkill subtle is best on such a bold design.

depending who you get it from. i have seen some carbon companies making expensive carbon fiber hoods and other parts and their heavier than stock. i did concider this for my car, buying a carbon fiber hood and trunk and painting it, and even ground effects.

i agree. its hard to find a really good, functional kit right now. if i cant find anything that performes and looks great....im not going to do anyting to the exterior. everythign i have seen so far is very ......overkill. thats why i really like Hennesseys kit. its simple and it gets the job done. but its too DAMN expensive. even the fiberglassi s 700 for the front piece and 700 for the side skirts. yet im really debating buying it. but i cant get one of those bastards to return my email! so if anyone at Hennessey is reading this , please email me pricing for your fiberglass HPE 700 ground effects kit!

I do like the Hennessey kit alot. I also like the Callaway.
Sorry, but you are super confused if you are referring to my product...

First of all, my price is $400 shipped. Shipping costs are actually $100 of that. The shipping alone is $70-$80 and then a 70" x 30" custom box and tape eats up the rest.

Mine also comes with two diffusers, also water jet cut, that I get powdercoated. My cost here is around $50-$60 (for the pieces and then getting them powdered).

You are already at a cost of $150 and we don't even have the plastic splitter itself yet... Leaving $250 for the cost of material, time to waterjet, time to route and my SMALL profit)

The piece is waterjet cut and then computer routed, not cheap. The plastic itself isn't even cheap anymore thanks to oil prices (due to it being made of oil AND the delivery of it just got more expensive with fuel surcharges).

I really can't stand it when people try to talk bad about the price of a piece I have less than 10% profit in especially when they completely down play what goes into a part LET ALONE running a business...

FYI, Hennessey has $80,000 in making the design you see, they have every right to charge whatever they want and since NO ONE ELSE is making it (and I don't blame them due to price) if you want something nice you have to pay for it, they had to pay to get it made after all.

I talked to them at SEMA. Super nice guys and interested in our splitters for their lower models and our spoiler for their higher model.

On a final side note, take a good look at the way all these other splitters and chin lips are mounted. Don't be surprised when you have bumper sag issues 10,000 miles down the road. The bumpers have little support to begin with and then bolting a wind diffuser on them with no other support is asking for trouble.

We ripped a couple of bumpers in high speed tests (got a black one sitting in storage to prove it) until we came up with the frame rail mounted diffusers for support...

Also, the $75 was just the charge to make the splitter any shape someone wants. It is just what I pay my waterjet guy per hour... One hour and it can be any shape you want, not going to find that with any other piece on the market.

having 80,000 in tooling and dies, does not justify having a carbon fiber ground effects kit cost 10,000. im in the manufacturing business also and we have dies that cost us hundreds of thousands of dollars and there is nothing we sell that is market up so rediculous, just because our dies cost us so much money. i like the hennessey work, but i cant understand their logic. that 80k die isnt going to get paid off if you cant sell any ground effects kits. the more you sell at a decent price, the quicker your return on investment is and the more you get your name out there and product out there , showing people what great quality you do. not the way their doing it now. its just not right.

the stillen looks nice but i dont like the sides coming up over the bumper. i saw that fesler moss has pricing out on their kit now. much cheaper than hennessey but still pricey. the fiberglass version isnt too pricey though. i might go with this kit in fiberglass and paint it flat black.
