Great post Dragoneye. 5 things to add though:

no shunt rope
the headlights have changed since we saw the prepros
black and white camo isn't a colour option
V6 front looks better than the V8 front
the rear 'gills' aren't functional but rather cosmetic like they were 40 years ago

When foreigners say they dislike 'American's', they don't mean citizens of Canada and Mexico.

The list could go on and on. 'American' is distinctly 'USA' unless you add the North prefix.

That said, I don't care if it's made in Canada.

At least someone understands the concept. Also, there is south and central america. Are Argentinians American? No. How about the Venezuelans? Nicaraguans?

So the car is not made in America but Canada using an Australian design .. I'm still getting one even though the name Camaro is pure 100% French as well.. I will always be a proud American that clings to my guns and my religion and will raise up a giant American flag that is 65 feet higher and 120 square feet longer than my city ordinance allows and proudly fly it at my own home in my sacred land I love. I may not draw as many looks or be as proud as an owner of a Hummer while being stopped at a light next to a Prius with a greenpeace bumper sticker on it. However I will feel damn close in my manual SS V8 Camaro knowing I'm making some environmentalist mad while I'm driving from Church to the range to shoot off some rounds. I will be proud to own this French Canadian Australian and American made muscle car that represents a youthful abandon, long summer drives, and a freedom of adventure. Because what is at the heart of the Camaro is pure American. As American has come to signify that freedom and passion we all live with thanks to our young men and woman of our armed forces. It is because of them the French word Camaro still exists today and that it was able to be used after WWII. America stands for and means FREEDOM against tyranny and oppression of any sorts and that is why the Camaro lives on. Since the word Camaro means friend, it is perfectly fine that we now have friends from other countries who have participated in the whole prototype to design to final assembly of this friendly car. And for that, it does the name Camaro proud and every country that did not participate in building it would wish they did.. As I embark on my first journey, I will say a prayer of thanks to all those who helped resurrect the Camaro and continue to be a proud American who fights for freedom at all costs and protects our fellow friends or camero's as long as I live. God Bless America and all those camaro's out there of ours
