No tune. J pipes are there to kill drone, and they work.

Hey Pat, no you don't have to tune for anything after your cats. J pipes are for drone frequency cancellation and come already installed on your catback or axle back Solo exhaust. No extra hangers are required, there's enough reinforcement installed to keep them in their place.

The Solo axleback technically does not have a muffler (it uses the factory resonators to keep the sound down) and with long tubes it can be pretty aggressive. If headers are not in your future it'll be a great option.
My SLP Powerflo axleback doesn't drone at all even catless w/LTs. I'm craving more noise though

I recommend installing a Magnaflow axle back exhaust. It is smooth pretty mild at start up and in the lower rpm’s. When you put your foot into it in mid to high rpm’s it really roars and sounds really good. You should really like it.

That is a good choice. I had it on stock catback with no stick resonators with shortys and hi flow cats. It was still quiet at idle and cruise.

I agree the the Magnaflow axle back or catback exhaust would be a excellent choice for the above member as well as the Magnaflow axle back and catback both have top notch quality and fitment.

Would Kooks headers with hi flow cats be a good combo with the magnaflow cat back? Still no drone?

I believe I can find the sound I want, just working form the axle back.
I have the Solo J-Pipes.... NO DRONE whatsoever.... read all you can, I called the representative in NY... he's Awesome to talk to... really inspires confidence in his product. I personally have a Cam, Long Tubes, muffler delete... but with the Solo J-Pipes.. NO Drone... very pleasing to drive... for an old guy!! (54).. Enjoy!!

I also have the Solo Mach XL with stock exhaust manifolds and cats. There's no drone. I've got no idea how loud it outside the car but inside I can still hear the radio. I'm also old - 69. It's fun as hell!

I can't speak for the Magnaflow system, but here's my setup (pre cam). Kooks LT's with high flow cats, Solo Mach XL catback:

Pre tune drive

Post tune drive

After tuning the car it got a little louder, but as you will notice in the video it is still comfortable driving without drone.

EDIT*** I'll second Hulk on it getting a little wild post cam install. Here's a cold start video: Cold start Kooks LT headers w/ cats, Solo Mach XL catback, BTR Stage 2 NA cam

I love my Solo cat back system! Sounded nice when it was stock and just kept getting better as I added the headers, no cats, and then the cam. When I did the cam she got a bit rowdy outside but still nice and quiet inside.

Old Guy Exhaust recommendation

Can’t beat Solo for the convertible. I added it the second year I owned the car and it’s sound like a true muscle car. Never any complaints either from my wife.
Last year I added Kooks high flow cats and man what a sweet sweet combo.
