Well, still being 26K in the hole for my 2SS/RS, I'd say I could use that money even though I work.

thats a good idea too, but the original idea was to get someone whos dream is to have a camaro and is trying to save for one, research would need to be done to verify the person does not already have one, or would not use the money for something else. even just a few thousand to help with a down payment so someone could afford the monthlys, the problem im starting to see is people that dont have the camaro are all for it and the people that do have one think they should save and work hard like they did. may almost need to open a poll on this just to see how many people would be up to it. thanks for everyones input, responses are really fast on this forum

I like the lottery idea! Giving away money to buy a new Camaro specifically might not be fair, since many of the members here have it already. If we were to do it, I'd say let's include everyone.

we could include everyone for the lottery and if someone that already has one wins they can get half to mod theres out and give half to someone that doesnt have one, or the person can use all the money for mods or buy another. possibilities are endless, but one things for sure a percentage should go to a charity

In the spirit of the holidays how about we do this pool but the Winner gets say a $50 Gift Certificate to a forum sponsor, and the rest of the money goes to the charity of the winner's choice as a donation from Camaro5.com

I'm sure you would have a lot more interest in that, and the money would go to people who really need it, I think very fery few of us would qualify for that.
Now this is something I'd vote for...

you wouldn't get that many people

that was a joke haha

I think you missed the point though. Nobody NEEDS a Camaro. Nobody NEEDS a 300+ HP $22k+ Car. Everyone here works hard I am sure, but you are going to have only donations from those who don't have one yet vs those that do. In the end it just sounds like a huge selfish endeavor that I would imagne in the end very few would really donate to. You would probably have a hard time even getting $50.

At least withthe idea I presented or something similar everyone has a chance to win the SAME prize and the money goes to people who REALLY NEED it. A LOT more people would go for that.

I get what you're trying to do and hey I want a Camaro badly too, but its other peoples money and people wanting a Camaro should find other ways to save up.

I like the idea of occasionally raising money through the increasing number of Camaro5 forum members. How about doing this annually and giving the money to the St.Jude's Children's Research Hospital? Worthwhile effort, in my humble opinion.
