I also am having a hard shift from first to second gear under hard acceleration. Glad to see it was not only me!

What do do?

Lot of talk about this. Search for "clunky" type shifting. The 1-2 shift has always been chunkier, not as smooth, as the other gears on the AY6 cars.

if you check some threads it was in here before..around 3000 miles it will smooth out..the more miles you put on it the easier it will shift...that is as long as your tranny aint fried..

900 miles on car and I haven't experienced this. Feels to me like a nice solid shift, not smooth as silk but no grinding or difficulty putting it into gear. Hope they correct it quickly for you!!

i have 6000 miles on mine thats why i am concerned because i am past the break in point. Its like it works good until that load point and i end up missing the gear or shift point. almost feels as i have to really pull it in to get it into second.

I think im going to make a appointment this next week i have some things to do this weekend so not able to go.

Has anyone taken there's in to be diagnosed?

Mine is still a bit clunky getting into second. I don't even think I need to get the RPMs up that high. I'd take it to the dealer but that scares me more then just dealing with the clunkiness.

Had a call from the dealer today. Apparently it is impossible to get a clutch for a 2010 V6, so instead GM is replacing the whole tranny. Week to 10 days for parts to get here, so maybe my Christmas present will be a working Camaro!

My camaro is at 4500 miles and I didnt notice this until yesterday. I was on a freeway onramp and had to force the shifter into second at about 4500-5000 RPM, after that I began to pay closer attention to the feel of the shifter. On the street I noticed that when shifted into first at a complete stop, the shifter feels like it clicks twice, into second from first, it feels like it clicks twice, 3,4,5 and 6th gear only click once. I tried this while parked as well, placed shifter into neutral and put into each gear(from neutral)with the same results. The strange thing is that after a 1hour drive it no longer did the 2click into gear thing, it turned into a single click.
