OUCH! Pull the oil pan at the very least. I would probably plan on a rebuild. Check the cam bearings while you're in there. Make sure you get a nice trunnion kit for those rockers too! You are in for a nice project

oof.. put that thing back together and take it to a dealer!! (You never took it apart) lol!

They won't cover that. It's out of warranty, unless he has an extended.

What pisses me off is that GM knows there is an issue with their rocker arms. Their prescribed repair is to replace just the affected rocker arms, not the entire set. Lame.

I just looked at all my stock rockers in the box and they actually all look and feel very solid. They look like they are caged although I know they are not a caged type. I was actually impressed. I don’t know how this happens. They must pop out of the one side where they go in I guess?

I think the outer or inner bearing race gives way and they let loose.
