Really good questions Jake! Alot of us were interested in the answers to these questions. I have an ADM CAI and I am putting on the MagnaFlow 3" comp series with X pipe this weekend. It has small mufflers with this setup so when I put my LT AR headers on I will have a great sound. At that time I will have mine tuned and hope for the best on the warr issue.

A tune on an L99 is a lot more than just extra HP and Torque. The tranmission tune is what really makes the car fun to drive. After getting a good tune, the car drives like a completely different animal.
Getting a set of Kooks, CIA and a tune next week on my L99- can't wait. tuner told me the car will feel so differejnt in a good way!!

For Maximum power gain with minimal Sound increase the Long Tube Headers in to the factory Cat back are the way to go.

That's the kit I was looking at. I'm probably going to go with just buying a Tru-X and mufflers and having the local shop weld them in for me. I can have the rig welded in for a lot cheaper than their kit. Seems like they charge quite a bit to bend that tubing for you!

Looks like I will be sticking to the catback and CAI for now. I'll start looking at tuning and LT's once some of that warranty is used up.

Once again this forum proves to be an invaluable resource.
TAG finally did get a code a few days ago... only a matter of time. At least he doesn't have to reset it often

I will definitely do the tune with L99 for two reasons... (Codes and AFM), but I do want to leave it un-tuned for a week or two and see how the AFM really sounds and how quickly it throws a CEL.

Oh Yeah and reduced TM will be a kick in the butt too...
