Yeah same for me, far less dust.
And check Ebay. I think my rears I found for like 60 and the fronts I paid like 90. Much cheaper than the hundred and something

Everyone talks less dust. You don’t get something for nothing in the brake world. Someone said on track day, the Brembos go back on. No dusters, how is the stop comparison? Really? And I don’t really know but will need new something soon.

It was a decent trade off for me. I don't race my car or push it. For daily street use I find it fine. It doesn't stop as quickly for sure and feels like a softer pedal overall, but has served me in emergency stops with room to spare.

You are correct in believing there is a trade off, dust vs braking power since it IS the friction between the pad at the rotor surface that creates both the stopping power as well as the dust.

I have a bit over 45,000 miles on my car with at least 35,000 of those on my Hawk pads.

yes I put the stock pads back on for brake day because under HEAVY BRAKING, the additional bite they provide is good.

HOWEVER, on the street, I put the Hawks back on, and for driving under the less demanding conditions of normal street driving, the Hawks work wonderfully. I have NEVER felt that during my street driving that the hawk pads did not provide more than sufficient braking.

Weather or not YOU will be comfortable using the hawk pads on the street knowings you will sacrifice a bit of braking power in return for much lest dust, is entirely up to you. If you feel a bit nervous about the braking power of the hawk pads, and that bothers you, then you may choose not to go that route, and that's fine. YOU need to have confidence in your and your cars performance above all else.

Good input. I don’t like the copious amount of dust any more than the next guy and rarely do I need a ‘performance’ brake. In fact, only once or twice have I had to panic brake. But it sure did stop. It’s a heavy ass car with a lot of power. I’ll probably keep the Brembo’s next brake job, dust and all. : / Thx.

Did you purchase your from Amazon.com or from Hawk Website itself, seeing that your part numbers are different than the ones on Amazon, they are more expensive at the Hawk Website than Amazon.com.Just wondering if Amazon Hawk pads are not of the same quality that's sold at the Hawk website store.
I had read in your post where you wrote later in this thread and you say the Hawks doesn't have the same braking power as the OEM Bremboes. But in some reviews on the Amazon site they say they had were pretty much the same braking performance, but had just as much dust and squealed a lot.But one person in this thread said the squealing was probably from not applying the grease to the back of the pads.
I just don't want to replace the Bremboes and have more issues with dust/squealing.Thanks for all the input guys.

Thanks Bud,sorry be a pain lol, I checked out amazon and the Hawk site, they show several pads that applies to my 2010 RS/2SS,some are blue boxes and yellow. indicating different performance specs.with regards to stopping/braking performance.I am looking for ones that have less dust and still fall within the performance of the Bremboes.SS Camaro said he had used the ones in yellow box for 9 years and they performed very well, but he didn't indicate the part number, which is several.

If hawk pads on Amazon seem to be much cheaper than from hawk, and those same people claim they squeak, then I would get suspicious that 'maybe' they could be Chinese knock-offs and not the real deal. It's been known to happen with other items.

Thanks Bud for the heads-up I was thinking the same thing, knock offs from China, which would not compare to the quality,if made in the USA.One question I forgot to ask you,are the OEM Bremboes that come with the cars,Ceramic,if not, is this the reason for the dust problem, where they would have a softer surface.Again Bud I appreciate all you advise and help, have a good evening.Cheers.

I am using hawk for 1 year now and i did apply the grease on the back od the pad and am never going to buy them again. When they get hot the sound like a lady giving birth. Going back to brembo for sure.
