The fluids in the differential, trans and engine are cold and not as viscous. if you only drive 20 miles each way to work, you will see a 10-20% drop in mileage. If you go on a long trip, the drop is minimal because after the 20-30 miles the fluids are heated up and there is minimal loss through the drivetrain.

ou will also lose mpg withwinter blended fuel and another 5% if your tires are not at recommended PSI. If you run 3-5 PSI lower, you are dropping mpg by about 1.

Running supreme WILL NOT clean you V6 engine better or increase mpg. In fact running a higher octane has the reverse effect on mpg and can ruin your engine.

If you buy top tier gasoline, the detergents are added across the board in all grades of fuel.

O, that makes sense cuz I only put like 25 - 30 miles each day...

General opinion is that you should have it changed after a sufficient break-in period, so that you're running clean oil with a clean filter, get rid of metal shavings that build up as part of the break-in process

Im getting about 340 per tank before the low fuel warning comes on (usually still 2-3 gallons in the tank still. That's in m my v8 with mostly highway driving.

Have you been changing your driving style at all? I know in my V6 if I am racing it around and really revving it up, I can get 13-15mpg easily... while normal city driving I get around 23 and on the highway about 30.

I have 1500 miles on mine and I changed the oil twice.

Once at 50 miles and once at 500 miles. I wanted to make sure I eliminated most of the metal shavings from the new engine and hard break in procedure I performed.

I got about 26 mpg on the highway but that was after the two oil changes. Don't know what I got before since I was doing mainly hard break in.
