Sorry, although the LT V8 option was definitely a strong move, it came in way too late. I also highly doubt our V8 models will outsell the C8. I personally consider the C8 to be a serious threat to the V8 model Camaros

Very valid point. I don’t think they will outsell the C8, that’s not what I am saying at all. so I can agree on that one. But I think we are talking about two different buyers here. If the price point on the C8 is published at 60k the real world pricing will be more likely 65k or higher once taxes, options, and dealers get their hands on it. That’s serious dough for any middle class or college student financing a first car or upgrade. And I just don’t see many families jumping into a two seater.

I think the 2020 will definitely outsell it’s previous self. If GM markets the cheaper LT V8 as the affordable performance car with the Corvette engine the Camaro may just ride that coat tail to slightly higher sales.

i would consider it a threat to any performance car from any manufacturer.so much good for hopefully around 60k...hard to beat.

Hard to tell if it will sell more so we will just have to wait and see if it does! Hope so though! Not everyone that owns a Camaro wants to buy a Corvette either! I don’t plan on buying a Corvette at anytime in the future.

2019 Nobody Cares
2020 85,000 or more
The percentage of people that will move up to the LT1 from V6 and down from the SS to the LT1 will be very small . The largest group of people buying the LT1 will be the ones that were looking into the SS but went with the LT1 for one reason or the other . I don't see the 20 SS or LT1 sales grow larger then the V6 and turbo 4 sales and that would be the only way sales will ever come close to 85,000 for 2020 . I don't see them selling more then 58,000 at the most for the 2020 year. The 2020 SS change is not going to matter and the LT1 will basically just cannibalize its way into total sales .

**Edited**

I didn’t even have a strong reaction here, but I just don’t even see the point in engaging in the drama.

Why are you convinced the '19 owners would be butt hurt? If they didn't like the car they wouldn't have bought them. I'm not a real fan of any of the flap grilled cars really but the 2020 is basically a painted replacement. Not necessarily the end all fix. The LT1 is a base car with a v8. Big whoop! It will make a few happy but the car has more issues than the engine. Not saying it isn't an awesome car because it is but it has fallen short in the sales numbers and that's all that matters. 19 Silverado 1500 isn't very pretty but some people are buying them too. Style is key in sales. Camaro sized cars have an abundance of choices for buyers.
