SS is the V8. If you find one at 12k it will be pretty high mileage or pretty beat up. If you want lower mileage and in very good shape you'll be looking at LT or LS. I saw one or two SS when i was looking one for $10k, it had 180k miles and some dents and scratches not well taken care of. All depends what you want, if its power over looks you could find an SS. If you are going to keep it forever, engines trans, diffs are all rebuildable. Just make sure theres no rust.

Just bought my 2011 ss2 in ga. With 75k on it with flawless body aoutomatic, new tires, brakes, 1 year warranty, for 14,500, but after taxes, tag (950), dealer fees came to 18k cash. This was after about a year search. There are cheaper ones out there with rougher bodies and 125k plus miles on them. I wasnt going to drive off the lot without some kind of warranty for that price and had my mechanic give it the 60 point inspection wgere i found trans line leak which i had dealer fix. Be patient and you will find it. Good luck

The highest i can do is 12k and most likely will be high mileage.
Thats pretty much all i have been seeing in this price range here in Ga.

Thanks..

You can find a 2010-2013 V6 LS model for that kind of money. I recommend avoiding the following colors:
1. light silver (makes the Camaro look like a Budget Rental sedan)
2. black (old black paint jobs are hard to maintain)

Try to find one with 75K miles or less with oil change documentation. Maybe you can find some retiree who had bought one for weekend rides.

When I first started to look at Camaros, I was looking at the V6.. at a dealership, I drove both the v6 and the v8... both felt different but I ended up with the v8 and I'm glad I did. I know you were asking earlier as to which model you should look at.. I would recommend to find some 2013 and then take all models for a drive. Find the one you like then decide on how much you wanna spend and go from there... as others have said, for a $5k price difference (maybe) don't sell yourself short... finance the other $5k and get exactly what you are looking for... if that price difference is $10k... then you've got some soul searching to do.

Good luck and keep us posted.

If you find one on a car lot that's been there over 60 days they'll usually make you a good deal on it, as after 60 days on a car lot it gets "stale" and they'll end up sending it to auction (and lose money) or to another lot (and lose money). That's how i got mine.

Price will depend on the market in Georgia. Nobody wanted mine because it's red (Red Hot G7C) and I live in Arizona.

Yea it’s the same around here especially the low mile cars both v6 and v8. My car was for sale in salt lake for a month before I jumped on it, I was scared to death it was going to sell before I could get up there to buy it. They dropped the price by 1500 and I was there three days later.

i actually took a 2010 28k mi IOM 1SS M6 for $18500 on a test drive told the salesman i wanted it. by the time we got back to the dealer another dealer in fla bought it out from under me. i was pissed then he had the nerve to try to sell me a ford desustang!
i ended up buying mine from a Chrysler dealer in ga and having it shipped to me sight unseen

so Migraine8 are you willing to travel?
do you want a auto or manual?
SS or LS?
one of the guys suggested you put a crap load of cash down and finance the rest i tend to agree your better off paying more for a lower mileage car.
this is a great deal IMO
2SS/RS M6 almost 40k on it
