Wouldn't hurt to lowball him. He'll probably reject your offer, then see that nobody else is calling. He might come crawling back to you. I don't think it's in crap shape, but it certainly isn't in $2500 shape.

Really? I never had too much trouble with either snow or ice.

I just launched real softly from second. Terrible for gas mileage, but better than the alternatives...
