Hello everyone! My car is an 2SS MT (therefore it includes the RS package).

I read this thread and just went to the garage to check on the tail lights.

There does not appears to be any part on the inside of the tail light asembly painted in black.

I have also had this question since before I got the vehicle.

Once I got it and checked on this, all it seems to me is that the plastic on the tail lights is a darker shade of transparent red. That is all.

My CAMARO is Victory Red so the effect does not appear so dramatic. It kind of gets lost in the general color scheme of my car.

Probably it has a better effect on other exterior colors, such as black.

I looks a bit darker that the tail lamps on my '95 Firebird, more like the color I recall on the Cadillac STS tail lights of a couple of years ago.

The biggest aesthetic difference this package offers is certainly the HID Headlamps and then the "SS" logos in the front grille and in the back (below the spoiler) are colored red instead of white with the outside in chrome.

The wheels also have a trasparent finishing lacquer (almost like the clearcoat used on body auto paint) except this one is a light shade of dark.

Now, the inside of the rim looks coated too! This is a nice finishing touch, even though it means I have to be careful that the interior of the wheels are also perfectly cleansed on every wash!!

I don't have the RS package and I recently ordered an RS tail for some experiments. The RS tail has a black housing.
