Getting help from any auto locksmith is helpful in such case?

That's BS because my local dealer cut me 3 keys no problem. Do you have any other local dealers?

We cut them all day long, most dealers order them precut because they dont want to spend the 10K on a laser machine to cut them but the customer has to wait days to get it. we charge $10 to cut them no charge if key/fob is purchased from us and we program for FREE..

Question I have about is if you are a dealership you won't cut the switchblade key due to the recall, will you?

I was under the impression that the dealer will always convert a functioning switchblade key to the separate fob+key solution post recall.

There is a thread about un-recalling a flip key - I tried it on one of mine and it worked perfect! I just happened to have a roll pin assortment with pins small enough to pin the key back into the flip fob.

Kind of off topic but.........

Almost all of the flip-key part numbers have been discontinued, however if a customer walks in and brings us in a flip key they purchased online than we will cut it for them if that is what they chose.

Really? That's cool. I figured for liability reasons they wouldn't touch it.
