One common thread for the 5th gen platform is the sloppy rear cradle.
If you really want to improve on the cheap (well, nothing for theses cars are cheap}....Cradle bushings are probably biggest improvement. Next would be better shocks/struts. We have fe2.....fe4 is an improvement..fe6 (1le) are even better. Then the rear sway bar {only because of the odd mounting in the early years}. Then from there....you can go hog wild. As I stated before...$300 can get you poly cradle/diff bushing kit from BMR. Fixes most of the cradle movement. $300 will score the zl1 sway/lca's and end links. fe4 shocks/struts $300...or 1le (fe6) around $600. Only thing I would add would be better coils. There are so many variations and opinions....thats why I say to take your time and read, read, read. You sort through what others have done and failed/succeeded...then you can decide what best fits your needs. Good luck.

For $146 (-10% w/coupon from RDPStore.com) you can get the Prothane rear subframe bushings and I didn't notice a big difference when I swapped from them to solid.

I just bought the Whiteline cradle bushings, which are going for about $90 and work great (high durometer, not squishy like a certain red brand that a member has posted about). I also used Whiteline’’s poly diff bushings, which took away the noise I was getting from the BMR bushings. I’m liking the Whiteline’s all around!
