My wife doesn't even like to ride in my car. I don't allow food or drinks in my car, and I don't think she likes the idea of driving something that has to stay clean. She has a Denali 2500HD, so it's not a big loss for her. I do drive the truck a good bit because I don't feel like walking the extra 100ft to the garage.

Recently, I gave my daughter a down payment on an F150 Platinum (I know, a Furd. It hurt my heart to do it) in exchange for the 2011 M6 vert I built for her. Now, the wife wants to do some HPDEs and go to Camaro Fest with both cars next year. That car runs a cammed 416 with a Z28 rear, and if it were red, I might drive it more than my car.

No, not because I won't let her but because she doesn't know how to drive a manual.

Understandable. I actually learned to drive manual (way back when we were dating) in my wife's 86' Celica GT!

That's awesome! I would love to take some of those classes myself.

I would love it if my fiance would like to drive it but she got into a rollover accident years ago and it ruined cars for her. She will drive it if she has to but doesnt prefer it. She especially doesnt like it now that it is cammed lol

The only time she has driven my Camaro is when I bought a motorcycle and needed to get both home. She drives a huge lifted Jeep and laughs about how nice it is just be able to bump into things with the tires so yeah she's not driving my car

My GF can't even ride in my car, let alone drive it. It makes her nauseous from motion sickness...and that was before the cam. Her daughter claims to hate my car, as she tells me all the time. I think it is because it gets so much attention everywhere we go and she hates that. She always tells me it's annoying. She's 13, so I think that will change once the boys start coming around.

But all this is fine by me. My ex-wife wrecked my 1991 Camaro RS because she wasn't paying attention while driving and rear ended someone.

She is like at home in it.
The clutch pedal is relatively hard, but she has no problem with that.
So yes. Why not

My wife drove my SS last year when it was full bolt on, still loud and she loved it. This year with the huge cam and converter, she likes to ride in it, but hasnt wanted to get behind the wheel yet

Yep she loves it. She doesn’t drive it any where near as hard as me but she does drive it Several times a season. She actually told me more than once if I ever sell it she’s filing for divorce. That’s good leverage for a Z28 in a few more years... here babe I’ll give you Blue if you let me buy myself a Z...

My wife had a 79 Z28 (manual) before I met her and steered me toward my first Camaro 15 years ago when I was looking for a garage car. I'm on my fourth Camaro now and she most certainly can drive it whenever she wants. I do have to add that the only tickets my current car has gotten was from the wife.
