Just used the drill method on both the front and back with no problems. Drilled thru both and popped/snapped the old gold bowties off with a flathead screwdriver. I used WD40 to get the tape residue off with the flathead screwdriver and then some hydrogen peroxide to get the WD40 off. After making sure all was dry, then applied both bowties.
IMO, it's not worth the hassel of removing the scowl and trying to pry out the front bowtie grill piece if it can be avoided. Very happy with the results.

just got the polished billet version of this off an auction on e-bay, whopping .99 cents, for that cheep couldn't resist. guess I got some drill to do later this week

they look nice but for 135$, I think Ill stick with plasti dip for 7$.
