I there a reasonable reason to spend money for a remote tuner and tune for a stock 2ss with no mods other than a Volant filter? Or would it be a wate of money?

Mine was tuned but that was in Phoenix with a lot of elevation. We know it will get more here in Texas and I plan on making the road trip sometime soon.

You can research Florida Speed and Power and Tune Time Performance to see if MSTuning is the right shop for you - same owner/tuner.

Unless it's an automatic and you want a transmission tune, I'd say it wouldn't be worth the money.

Depends on the person spending the money to know what they consider "reasonable." But from reading on here they say there are gains to be had from tuning even a stock car. Pretty much everyone has said it drives and respond completely different. If you do decide to, I believe Dynosteve offers free tunes for life. So if you mod later youre still set for re-tuning the ride.

Yes, L99 with automatic. I had thought to get the transmission tune. Thanks.

I have been trying to balance those two myself. It seems like every mod can be maximized with a tune so I decided to start there I went with RDP and dynosteve (free tunes for life) after wrestling with what to do first since I bought my 2011 stock 2ss last year. I should have my tuner Tuesday or Wednesday and plan to load the tune Friday. I have a thread "best HP gains for a Grand" after I load the tune I will post what the value is to me. i have decided on mods but budget is tight due to the Covid crap so I'm trying to make every $ Count.

Smart decision. Every automatic transmission owner should get tuned as first step into mods. It's a jaw dropping change from just a tune.
