Every car looks good in black.

Black, white, and silver will never go out of style even though they may seem plain.

I'm 95% sure my Camaro will be silver. I've known all along that Silver and White would be my two choices. Though I admit Cyber Gray is a great looking color too.

I've never cared for bright or loud colors (though yellow looks good on a few cars). And black just hides too many of the cars lines, and shows entirely too much dirt/dust.

Silver (and white to a lesser extent) on the other hand stay clean looking MUCH longer than many other colors (especially black).

Silver has come to symbolize 'clean', 'modern' and 'sophistication'. Which fits my personality perfectly.

Just as all my kitchen appliances are silver (stainless steel), so shall my Camaro be. LOL

Oh, and my last 2 vehicles ('02 Camaro and '05 Aveo) have been silver too.

I never once took that competition into the equation since 1) I never was able to enter seeing as I don't live in the US or Canada, and 2) we're talking production here, and 3) those cars most likely have the custom Bumblebee paintjob like in the movies, not the Sunrise color from Valspar that has been on one of the repainted concepts thats looks a lot like the Bee paintjob but is a whole lot cheaper.

And yes, there's been mentions of a Bumblebee package for production, if you don't believe me ask CamaroScotty.

For me, black does nothing for me.

I have a few reasons for this.

1. It's never clean...(well, ok...RIGHT after a wash/wax...but leave the driveway and it's dirty again

2. The lines and seams get lost. Look at the other colors and you see definite lines (from the hood, the trunk, the doors, the body panels) To me, those seams and lines add to the beauty of a car. Even that "mail slot" gets lost.

The white on the Camaro is way too sterile though. It needs to be a "warmer" white (if that makes sense).

Silver is a great colour on the Camaro, in my opinion, but I personally prefer the dark tungsten-like colour, which is a little darker than the bright silver.

I personally didn't like the color of the silver concept when it was first unveiled. It wasn't until I saw it in bumblebee Valspar Sunrise yellow that I fell in love with the car.. Silver is too plain in my opinion..I'm leaning towards the dark Imperial Blue at this point with the silver stripes..

Pros:
1. It hides dust well.
2. It gives vehicles an up-scale look.
3. It looks great with chrome/or polished alloy wheels.
4. A lot of manufactures choose it for show/concept cars because it focuses the eye on the design, not the color.
5. Bright interiors pop.
6. It’s not a cop magnet.
Cons:
1. It is a tad boring (Disclosure; I have a silver vehicle and it’s gotten comps, but it does blend in).
2. It’s a hard color to match if a body panel has to be repainted.
3. Door dings seem more noticeable.
4. It’s quite popular.

The bottom line is, if you like it, get it and you can always trade it in on a bright colored Z when that comes out

You're right. However in the end it just boils down to preference. Dark and light silver will be the most popular color with black trailing in second.. Yellow has always been the least popular, however this time, that might change (because of Bumblebee ofcourse)..

I think silver is great and easy to keep clean, doesn't show swirls. I now have black which will be the LAST black car ever. A NIGHTMARE. My last 3 cars b4 my black Si were silver, so silver is out for me. I will probably get orange. Maybe white. A couple friends tell me to get yellow, but I think its TOO bright(look at me). IMHO silver, orange, yellow, white are the best and easiest colors for the Camaro. Just my 2 cents.

BLACK IS A NIGHTMARE PERIOD.
