And your shipping quote was way off. I can get one shipped for 400, not 1000. If your gonna post, post something helpful and accurate

A different user (CPCNY not RupertPupkin) said they have it hanging on their wall . Businesses often get better deals on shipping than individuals.

What is the decibel limit you need to meet and what is your current measurement?

I think you should read all the post, and figure out who posted that.

Shipping from a big company like GM compared to an individual is completely different. Dependent on weight/dimensions, will determine what the true cost of what the shipping is. Considering you’re looking at mufflers, the shipping will be very high. Add on the international shipping, then you’re at double the rate. In a case by case basis, the item being shipped will be considered freight. Did you know that if you just ship the mufflers on its own without a box that has true dimensions, it’s charged differently? Probably not. I can tell you’re not very experienced with these sort of things. It’s kool. I get it.

I think you'd be able to hit that target with a pair of mufflers added to your existing setup. I have no idea what exhaust work in your area costs, but I assume it's more economical than shipping a stock system from the US. Shipping would get less expensive if you find just the stock mufflers and do not get the factory H pipe.

As others have said, I'd start with getting an opinion locally first

My exhaust has electronic cutout on it and it was in the quietest mode when he tested it. I am not really clued up on exhausts and thought mine was all stock apart from the cutouts. But no its straight piped from the headers to the cutout which is just before the rear mufflers. So i am stupid
So I need to get a stock exhaust to put on to pass the test. I need to get it from the US because Chevy Korea doesnt have 5th gen parts.
Doe anybody know where I can get one? Or used is ok.
Many thanks.
Now I need to go study about exhausts!
You need to get a second opinion, have it tested again & if it's Legal get a readout from that shop to show that "mechanic",that close (106) ask him if he works on commission, sounds like he does. Good Luck!

The L99 cars came with the rectangular resonators pictured in the below thread:

Have those been removed on your car? If so, adding something like this may knock the volume down enough.

I agree with Silver on this one. when I went muffler delete they cut out the resonator and I had them install a tru x pipe. Little to high pitched for me. went the Magnaflow Resonated x pipe route. Took the volume down by at least 35%.

The exhaust is in one piece. Probably 10 feet long by 4 feet wide. To box and ship it would be way too expensive and I'm not cutting it up. Best bet like others stated is fab something up at a shop that quiets things down.
