I have a summit white one too and have noticed the same thing. If it gets worse over time I'll be bugging my dealer to repaint those parts....

Wow, that's not good, this should be made a recall and GM should have to fix the problem, I would be very upset if I had a white one.

I remember a lot of the white 4th gens, including mine, had slightly yellower bumpers than the body of the car. Mine wasn't too bad but on some cars it was pretty noticeable.

FWIW, when I was picking up my SIM a couple of weeks ago, the salesguy and both noticed the white car on the lot had a off-color fuel door. Seems to be fairly widespread?

I haven't noticed any mismatch on my summit white. I'll look at it closer tomorrow.

I dealt auto paint for over 10 years and one of the big problems with white paint over the years is that it contains very small amounts of other colors (yellow oxide, blue, black, red oxide, etc.) to make "white". That is how some whites look brighter than others. It is the worst color to try to match because even a drop of a toner can completely change the color. Pretty much if the paint for the entire car doesn't come from the same batch, you can expect some variances.

With that being said, a good body shop should be able to match the paint well enough to at least blend the color in. The down side is that you have to prep and clear more of the car when doing this.

I actually asked if they could fade it to at least "fool" my eye, and that's when the service manager expressed his opinion about the flex agent....apparently before that stuff dries and it's still clear, the paint matched much better, so it wouldn't do any good to blend the paint, as the agent cannot be blended as well.

I also have a summit white car and have not noticed anything. The next time I get into it I will pay more attention.

Mine is the same way dealer said I can take it to my shop and warrany will pay for it, so I'm getting my heritage grill put on and my foglight housings painted white also. As well as bow ties and a few other things while there.
