Yeah, they all have the two bolt holes, but GM only installs one bolt from the factory, which I always thought was kinda stupid. I did mine with the pan still on, dropped as far as possible but it was still a nightmare. I wedged something in there to spread it as far as safely possible. My hands were cut to hell and I dropped the bolts countless times. Thank god for fishing line.

I would definitely consider the removeable crossmember mod like you did if I do it again.

Yeah it's definitely worth it. Like I said earlier I've changed my oil pump 3 times and I couldn't imagine trying to do it with the pan on because now I'm so used to pulling the pan off. lol. Plus it allows me to change the pan gasket also. 👍
